Windows 10 is the next version of Windows Phone, too, Mobile device

Microsoft shocked everybody today with the statement that the next variation of Windows is called Windows 10, not Windows 9 as the majority of had actually thought.

But throughout the announcement Microsoft executives said that Windows 10 will work on gadgets with screen sizes varying from four to 80 inches, raising an essential concern: is Windows 10 the next variation of Windows Phone also?

And the response, provided throughout the Q&A portion of Microsoft’s Windows 10 statement, is a resounding “yes.”

That doesn’t make it quite conclusive that Microsoft won’t pick something like “Windows Phone 10” or “Windows 10 for phones” down the roadway, but it certainly makes it appear more probable that they’ll drop the “phone” and just called the OS “Windows 10” across all devices.

Moving units

This shift was indicated earlier in September when Microsoft files explaining a progressive phasing-out of Windows Phone and Nokia branding was leaked online.

Microsoft desires Windows 10 to cover a huge variety of devices and be the only os its users need.

“Our new Windows must be built from the group up for a mobile-first cloud-first world, ” Microsoft Executive Vice President of Platforms Terry Myerson stated throughout the Windows 10 reveal.

Microsoft may have forgotten the best ways to count, however at least its message with Windows 10 is clear.
