Startup MoPub intends to assist mobile publishers and developers handle advertising from numerous ad networks and other sources. Today it’s including a relatively obvious-but-important attribute– a dash panel where consumers can actually see how each source is doing.

Marketing Director Elain Szu stated that previously, publishers haven’t actually been able to see this information in one place. Instead, they ‘d need to go to each individual network, as well as within MoPub, they needed to access their data by pulling offline reports. Bringing all the outcomes together has been a technical challenge, she states, but the genuine issue is that ‘nobody has made the effort to think of exactly what insights they’re trying to drive.’

‘The concept is to provide publishers a really clear and thorough view of those high-level metrics to their business,’ she says. ‘It’s less about tactically executing their changes.’

As you can see in the screenshot above, the dashboard reveals revenue, impressions, prices, clickthrough rates, and fill rates, all broken down by source. When publishers can see this information in a single dash panel, it’s easier to identify the campaigns and networks that are performing well, to see the ones that are underperforming, and afterwards to adjust the way they allocate ad inventory accordingly.

Szu stated the objective is to make the dash panel useful for consumers whether they are a lone designer who’s handling their ad inventory by themselves or the chief advertising officer/chief revenue policeman of a bigger publisher (who might be less associateded with making day-to-day modifications however is still trying to find a more comprehensive sense of how their strategy is working out).

In an email statement, Jon Schlegel, founder and CEO of Optime Software (publisher of games including Hearts Free and Hangman Free) said, ‘This is exactly what I’ve to keep tabs on my money making approach. It’s everything we need from our advertisement network efficiency to MoPub Marketplace information in one location, so I can focus on our individuals and spend less time chasing after down information.’

After an invite-only beta test, MoPub is making the dashboard readily available to all of its users today, Szu stated. The company revealed in Might that it’s reached a $100 million revenue run rate.
